A Change In Members

During the last update I ended with a comment about a bit of a tiff between Dark and Topper (based on a comment Dark made about some of the updates in the OP-1 Field). Though it all worked out in the end, and there are no hard feelings, Topper (the OP-1) has moved on (in fact he is now supporting the “Fencing Marlins”).

In working it out there was some technical discussions, and Topper actually suggested it. He always felt a bit stretched trying to fulfill all the musical needs. As a point here, note a few updates back when we were doing lots of work arounds to get all the parts we wanted onto tapes. This has been something we have had to work quite a bit on the last album.

Though Topper worked out well as the only musical processor, he did admit that is not how the OP-1 is normally used. Normally there are other items helping (like a DAW on a PC, which we are still not going to be using).

So, an OP-1 Field has been added to the roster. We have not named him yet, as there is not much known about them (takes sometime to give a good name). We have already started to take advantage of some of these upgrades. We have already started working on the first song on the new album and were struggling on how to mix a melody and counter melody onto one track. Now, SuperStar can get his own tape with all 4 tracks. He can lay down 2 (or even 3) and we can blend that separate, then lift it and dump it on the main track (all without even hooking to a computer).

There are some other updates we are looking to bring into our music as well, but we will get to that later. As stated above, we are already busy on the next album (after a break for a Christmas song).
