Antman Not Special in Space

We will hold currency off until next time for a more fun topic. All the space shows we watch on TV sort of expect all the different species to be about the same size and shapes. I mean it is convenient that all the different species can use the same doorway. In reality, they are all different sizes and shapes (though interestingly taller than wider does seem to be a norm, but not always).

Obviously tiny species want to be able to enjoy themselves without getting stepped on. Large species need to be able to fit into the buildings (and sit at the tables etc). We would not want 300 Foot tall aliens wandering around on earth (we might get stuck between their toes). This needed to be solved to allow inter planetary exchanges.

The answer is actually simple. They change the size of the aliens before entering another planet or ship. Each planet has a target size and everyone entering is adjusted to about that target size (might be a little bigger or smaller based on shape etc). So, most places the spacecraft go, they have to be shrunk before they enter. They were also shrunk before entering the aliens ship (the video did not show it well, but that was beyond the scope and skill).

You might ask how does all this work. Well, I cannot give specifics, but DarkStar explained it to me as he understands it. Energy and mass are related. To make something bigger, it is possible to add some specific type of energy to them and they will grow. Conversely, pulling this energy out of them will make them shrink. Around each planet (and in some spacecraft) there is a field that once crossed this energy will be balanced within the host to make them that target size for the space between within.

All these size changers are tied together, so the energy taken from you can be stored in the system. When you revert, this energy is used to put you back to your normal size. It works in reverse as well, if you need to “borrow” energy to grow, you repay it when you revert. The reason all these size changers are networked is to allow you to not revert at the same location where you changed sizes. Maybe you got smaller at planet X. However, you wanted to take a ship from planet X to planet Y, so you need to stay that size, you planned to revert to normal upon leaving planet Y. Networking the size changers allows all of this.

Before space travel is allowed to a planet, having one of these fields installed is mandatory. It is part of acceptance by the Galactic Counsel. This is why the earth is not frequently visited, doing so is crime with significant penalties (obviously every once in awhile people break the rules).

Obviously just changing size is not enough for the spacecraft. The Aliens expected these issue and equipped the spacecraft appropriately. They have the hand as discussed in the update (to open a door handle etc). They can also glide so they do not have to walk to get around.

Still Working Back

Due to the recovery as well as the plethora of spring activities that need to get done, I am still a bit behind. As a catch up, I have been enjoying a bit of a swell in Apple Play Listens the last two

Been out a bit

Sorry for the lack of updates. I had a surgery last month, and then ended up back in the hospital due to complicates. I am recovering well at this point, and should be getting back at it soon. Unti
