First off, the new video for the first (and 8th) songs will be out tonight at 9PM EDT on Youtube (FH - https://youtu.be/3nffYIke1Sg, Synt - https://youtu.be/M3CCwJqYlSY). The first version will include my attempt on the French Horn. If you prefer the mover full synth version (how the spacecraft perform it in space) that version will also be available (song 8). I am releasing both together. The video is the same, just the music is different.

Awhile back I made the comment about us enjoying more of the regular songs (regular verses etc), not as much description type songs (more of an open format). So, why did we go back to that more descriptive style for this album. There are two real reasons for this. The first is that the spacecraft in general are observational beings. They like to watch, which means songs of the things they observer make sense.

In this case particular case, we just finished a big piece of the story (saving the Earth). Now we are setting up the next portion. So, this sort of makes sense we are taking a break and want to describe what we see. The second reason, however, is more technical.

Listening to music does not make you able to create it. The spacecraft are learning how to do this. Additionally, though I have some music background, keyboard has never been my thing (French Horn was, and see how that helped). So these are perfect opportunities to pick up the skills to use in the future. I know we do not have a huge catalogue at this point, but some things stand out (making this our most ambitious album to date). Below are some of the new things we utilized in recording this album.

· Longest Album So Far – 7 independent songs and 32 minutes in length. Though Were Making Music Now had more songs (fewer independent ones) it was only 28 minutes long (and one song was repeated 4 times).

· Added usage of the Roland VT-4 to give spacecraft their own independent voices (and some aliens).

· Recorded External Instruments (French Horn).

· Much more customization on synthesizers.

. Changing Drum Patterns through the song

· Modulation, Filter output and other synthesis changes during recording.

· Overdubbing tapes to allow more than 4 parts to the song (also more than 4 parts during a song).

· Decoupled Tape Speed from Tempo

· Use of Critter and Guitari EYESYS on videos to show space not being empty

The next album (probably next few) will be more traditional music. The next album will pick up directly after this one (still in the Rest Stop, with Flash reading the brochure he selected then the story of that trip).

The story should be updated on this web page before the end of next week.

Still Working Back

Due to the recovery as well as the plethora of spring activities that need to get done, I am still a bit behind. As a catch up, I have been enjoying a bit of a swell in Apple Play Listens the last two

Been out a bit

Sorry for the lack of updates. I had a surgery last month, and then ended up back in the hospital due to complicates. I am recovering well at this point, and should be getting back at it soon. Unti
