Flash Pointing Out the Obvious

Flash here taking over this Blog update. Before I get to my view of how its going, let me give an update on our progress. We now have two songs done (and fully mixed etc). We have also laid the lyrics and chord progressions for the next one (we wrote the lyrics, the actual singing is the last step). That Marty guy (our musical and other engineer) is a tough guy to keep happy.
He is a little bummed by all the robot voice in this album (it is about the AI robots, what did he expect). Also, he relistened to the first two songs, and did not like them, he thought the bass drum was a bit hot etc. However, he did not follow his own advice and used his Bose speakers. We calmed him down and got him on the more neutral ones, and the sound was fine to him. However, this is a good point, your music will sound different on different hardware. Supposedly the hardware you buy will emphasize the sound you like, so all should be good.
Now for my take on all of this. I am having a hoot. That’s it. Unlike SuperStar, I am not worried about not having great numbers on Earth. We are not touring or pushing, basically we are not there. The party is out here with us now. I am happy for everyone who does listen, and really hope they like what they hear. Hopefully someday we can do a concert there. “Technically” (notice the quotes) we cannot do a concert on Earth as it has not been opened by the Galactic Counsel, but maybe Elon can get some people out into orbit or some cameras or something.
As for our musical direction, my tastes vary. I like watching the crowd’s reaction to our songs. As such there are a few I really like. “Deep Space Radar Beeps” is cool. The crowd gets the feeling of us coming alive and getting together. Seeing there faces is cool. Also watching their reaction when we do any of the songs of the “Songs From the Silicon Heart” genre (we will do more albums with those Earth stories). Watching the light bulbs go on as they better understand you, is remarkable. Finally, the space music is also great. Seeing the faces of many of the children as we perform songs of locations they have never seen (but want to) just warms me up inside (much better than my heaters do…. Ha ha ha).
So basically, like I said above. This is great. Not that I did not enjoy watching all the activities on Earth while I was floating around, but this is better. Being a part of the activities, making the universe a better place (at least from our perspective), what could be better. I hope you enjoyed my update. Next up will be DarkStar and he will probably prattle on about nonsensical details until you are bored senseless, but he means well.
