So, I (SuperStar) get to take over the blog this time to share my opinion on how everything is going. However, first a quick update. The Engineer (Marty – we call him the Engineer) has finally finished up mixing the 2nd song from the Album Planet AI. Though it seems to take him awhile, and he is definitely the slow point in the process, it is different for him. We are basically retired out here and having a good time making music. He is still working and has a family etc, so we are sort of a side gig for him.
As for how it is going. These last few years have been fantastic. Not that I did not enjoy all the TV and other signals beamed through me. Also just observing everyday life on Earth was great. However, this is a step beyond. Now, I am able to use all those life lessons I learned observing Earth and apply them myself. Look at all we accomplished since becoming animated.
First, we were able to save the Earth, not a small feat. We did this by convincing extra universal aliens to rethink their perceptions of Humans through our songs. Then after getting some upgrades, we were able to basically create a new genre of entertainment in space. Music never really succeeded until we came around. Now we are essentially sold out for every show we do (the concept of sold seats is different out here, but basically the venues are always full). What we did on Planet AI was pretty cool too (but I do not want to spoil the surprise so I will not go into it). Dark gets most of the credit here.
The one thing that makes me pause, is the reception on Earth. I know we are not really publicizing this, and pushing for listeners, but we are not doing all that well. It is hard to get our music from a recorded piece, and we have not really released some of our more popular stuff yet (most find the story interesting, but the spacy stuff seems to be a bigger draw). I have suggested that we try and contact someone like Elon and see if we can get a group of people launched to get a live concert while in orbit (the rest of the group does not think this is realistic). In the end, I would have thought that Space Age Music Making Machines would at least be as popular as Taylor Swift (well maybe not that popular, she is pretty good).
So, I guess to close, I would like to thank the people on Earth. Watching them allowed me to learn and grow even before I was able to move around on my own. It is great being able to accomplish as much as we are now, and I look forward to continuing it into the future (and at some point, bringing those accomplishments back to Earth).
