My Turn

Before I get into this, my perspective will be three updates.  No, I do not think I am the most important and deserve more, but I want to expand on a few areas.  First (this one) I will update on my perspective of getting together.  Next, I will go over the band members, finally each of the albums. 

First, I must apologize, the delays on this album are all on me.  I have not been feeling the best, and the process has been tougher (for reasons I will go into).   However, it is right that we finish this off before we go on, so will just have to get back to it.

I was very surprised to be contacted by the spacecraft.  After they were retired and their orbits lifted, I figured they were finished, and would just float around up there until the end of time.  Then I start getting strange interferences in my radios etc.  Seemed to only be affecting me somehow, so trying to unravel that led to making contact.  That led to all of this.

The spacecraft told me they contacted me as I created personifications for each of them and they remembered that (basically in my art days I drew a lot of drawings with them as the subjects).  After getting over being freaked out (not just that they were now somehow able to contact me, but that they knew about the drawings), we started working together.

At first, I thought of them as children just awakening.  Though in some ways that is true, they have been collecting a lot of experiences and have deep philosophies based on their perspectives.  This will probably sound cliché, but they seem to have a sort of cosmic awareness of how things work, and their place in that cycle.  I have definitely learned more from them than they have from me and have been very happy. 

Once they decided that they wanted to make music, it only made sense that I take the role as engineer (from their perspective anyhow).  I do not think they understand the difference between a spacecraft engineer and an audio engineer (but listen to the early records, you can hear the difference).  We discussed the process and maybe redoing some of the early stuff, and they really do not want to get involved with that.  To them that is the past, and it shows (poorly done).  They are on a journey of growth, and as they (actually we, I am part of the band) continue to grow, the music will naturally get better.  The music will be sort of an indicator of their journey.
