Putting together a process

I am back from my vacation, but have not had much time to get back into the music. Did get with the guys for a planning discussion. The goal is to think about a final (3rd) Christmas song to put together over the next two weeks. This would be a simple one and they were thinking about one they would not have to sing on (not for simplicity, but to get back to roots a bit).
This also gave DarkStar sometime to review/refine the process from the song we just completed from the next album in the story line (Planet AI). We had a more haphazard approach on the song we just did (as we had no defined process). However, it appears in the future, each will lay down their base tracks, then I will set up and album on the OP-1F for each of them (which will include all the other on one track giving them 3 tracks to build out their parts).
So, we will all start together to build the track, then work individually to improve the parts (where needed) and then get back together for final mixing. This will take longer then the past, but with a plan should go a bit better than on one just finished (that is close to what we did, just now it will not be as much back and forth as we have a plan).
Notice above, I used OP-1F (for 1 Field) opposed to a name. There was a bit of controversy on the name, and it was decided we would shelve it. Flash called him Elmer (as he is sort of the glue that holds the whole process together). Elmer did not sit right (especially as it has a cow on the emblem). Made the OP-1F feel a bit more like a farmer than a high tech music making machine. However, the point (being the glue) was valid. We might end up going with Elmer, but want sometime to think it though.
