Seasons Greetings with a Free Song

We successfully completed the last song. The tape combining ended up working out really well. So instead of starting on the next one immediately, we decided we would get with the season and do a holiday song. Initially their missing the holiday made them want to do a full album. I pointed out there is no way we can get a Christmas album out in time, so we just went with one song, and I will provide a link to download it free at the bottom. This will get cleaned up and added to our Christmas Album for next year.

The spacecraft really wanted to do the chipmunk song, but that is not public domain so was not a good choice (but their word change was quite funny). After some debate they decided to do their rendition of Jingle Bells (poking a little fun at Flash). This was a bit more vocal heavy than most of the ones in the discussion. It also has a bit of Rudolph cross over (instead of Rudolph's nose lighting the way, which the spacecraft have seen many times in space, it is the arcs and sparks coming out of Flash providing the illumination).

At the end of the song, you will catch a bit of a comment from Flash. His voice was really created for singing (he took that into account). It is easier to understand etc. Both Super and Dark have their issues. Super's voice breaks into a chord (the note sung is the root of the chord, but the 5th is played an octave down so it end up being the middle note). Also if the chord is different from the music being played, it just sounds weird (and overall hard to keep with the melody). Dark took a deeper tone, and added a bit of resonance. Sounds bassy, but again moves around a bit more. We are discussing how to handle this in the future (Flash is going to do most of the singing as he is the lead, Super the mood (chords) and Dark the direction (percussion)).

This song was done very quickly (was just able to get Topper cleared after finishing the last song to start one). So it is not perfect (or good), but is fun. So from the band (me, Super, Flash, Dark and Topper) to all of you "A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" as well as any of the different holidays that you are celebrating.
