Spacecraft Upgrades Revealed

I owe everyone an update. Today, I will update on the spacecraft, later this week, my updates, then where we are with the new album.

They have finally completed learning about their upgrades and are ready to start their on-going adventure. I alluded to one of my upgrades in the previous post but will go over all of ours (well those that I understand) over the next few posts. As stated in the song, these upgrades are not changing any of the parts on the spacecraft (just reconfiguring them). The spacecraft are not changing (the matter they started with is the matter they still have, just reconfigured).

Communications – The communications arrays on the spacecraft has been updated to use superspace (the home of the aliens) as the medium. They have been using the aliens communications to talk with me during this time, but now can do so on their own. Even though they are many light years away right not but traveling through superspace makes the communications immediate. This will also help in lighting up songs etc.

Power Systems – The spacecraft needed quite a bit of direct sunlight to power them (and charge the batteries. Efficiency has been improved to the point that just a normal star field will fully power them (like we get at night). For times when the stars are not available, the batteries have been improved to power them for days.

Thruster Systems – This was upgraded to no longer need fuel (using hydrazine in space is considered rude as it is very toxic). They can now “Swim” through the cosmos using their thrusters. In addition, the Main Satellite Thruster was changed to a warp generating device allowing them to travel faster than the speed of light.

Computing systems – Though the spacecraft have a collective consciousness spread throughout all their matter, they do have on board computers. These computers allow them to control their subsystems better. These computers have been improved to not just allow this control better, but also to contain other information (maps of the universe and things like that).

Finally, as seen in the videos, as the spacecraft are collective consciousness, they are able to modify themselves (add the hair etc). They had this before, but the aliens showed them better ways to modify themselves to handle situations they might expect. This will allow them more freedom in sounds with their tone generators.
