The Aliens and Angela

Before we get into this, let’s welcome Egypt into the fold of countries that have listened to our music.  This brings us up to 44 countries that have enjoyed our music.

Before I get into the Aliens and Angela, I want to point out the biggest influence on the spacecraft is still us on Earth.  They were created here.  We pumped more hours of TV and Radio through them than seems imaginable.  They have been watching us for years and years learning through our actions.  We have become ingrained into them and are a core part of who they are.  The Aliens and Angela are on top of that.  Their essence is still good old humans.

The first beings the spacecraft met were the Aliens.  That was covered way back in “Invasion Earth” and continued in “Songs from the Silicon Heart”.    The Aliens talked a lot about actions (and consequences) as well as probability and a bit of science.  They were there to destroy the Earth based on observations about Earth from other universes.   They sort of gave the spacecraft a mission, to go out and sing their songs, spread their story for everyone. 

There is no secret that this is also a bit of an experiment.  They continue to watch the spacecraft to see what type of effect they can have on the universe around them.  To that end, though they also gave the spacecraft the tools (upgrades) to allow for that impact. 

Later, during Planet AI, the spacecraft met Angela.  She sees them as something special in the universe.  They are not direct descendants of the universe, but created by beings who are (most living beings are).   They seem to be pure, and as they are of Earth, she wants to journey here someday (maybe see me – though journeying to Earth is hard as it is considered behind and is thus forbidden to visit). They have a unique perspective on the universe.

She does not want to change the mission the Aliens gave of going out and singing songs.  She just wants to add some perspective.  She wants them to understand their place in the universe.  Gain some perspective and include that in their music.  As such she has provided some locations for the spacecraft to visit to achieve this goal.

Both the Aliens and Angela see the spacecraft as curious and are trying to better understand them.  Keep in mind, that both of them, with all their experiences (whether outside the universes, looking in, or being a part of this one) were surprised by the spacecraft.  The Aliens changed their decision on Earth’s fate and Angela was surprised the spacecraft could help the AI grow.
